What to Bring

Documents required for KYC

Bring all of the following. Missing documents will require a second visit.

Mandatory Documents

  • Original Aadhar Card
  • Aadhar Card photocopy — self-attested
  • Passport-size photograph — 2 copies
  • Mobile number that is linked to your Aadhar
  • DigiKaragir registered mobile number (can be same)

Your original Aadhar card must be present for verification. Photocopies alone or digital Aadhar on phone is not accepted as the sole document. Bring the physical card.

Photo Guidelines

Passport-size photos must be recent (taken within 6 months), on a white or light background, clearly showing your face. No sunglasses, caps, or face coverings.

Mobile OTP Verification

Your Aadhar-linked mobile number must be active and with you during the visit. A one-time OTP will be sent to it for verification. Ensure you have signal at the center.

Arrive Early

Do not arrive in the last 15 minutes before closing. The KYC process takes 15–20 minutes and staff will not be able to process late arrivals.

KYC — Frequently asked questions

KYC (Know Your Customer) ensures that every service provider on the Digi Karagir platform is a real, verified individual. This protects both customers (who trust verified professionals) and the providers themselves (who build a credible, trusted profile). Aadhar-based verification is required by our platform policy.
If KYC is not completed within 30 days of your registration date, your Karagir profile will be deactivated and hidden from customers. You will not receive any new bookings. Your profile can be reactivated once you visit a KYC center and complete the process. Any active monthly recharge is paused during this period.
No appointment is needed. Just walk in during the listed working hours. However, if you are visiting from far away, we recommend calling the center beforehand to confirm it is open, especially around public holidays.
The in-center process typically takes 15–20 minutes if you bring all required documents. After the visit, our team reviews and approves your KYC within 1–2 business days. You will receive an SMS or app notification once your KYC is approved and your profile is fully activated.
No, KYC verification at Digi Karagir centers is completely free for registered service providers. There is no charge for the verification visit, document processing, or approval. You only pay the regular monthly recharge to keep your profile active after KYC is complete.
Currently, in-person KYC at one of our authorized centers is required. This ensures the authenticity of your Aadhar and photograph. We are working on a digital KYC option for future updates. Watch the app for announcements.
